Job summary

Fairmont New Orleans is seeking a guest-focused Food & Beverage Associate for The Café by Chef Emeril. You will deliver warm, professional service and help create memorable dining experiences for guests.

Responsibilities include taking orders, communicating dietary needs, delivering food and beverages promptly, maintaining cleanliness, and collaborating with Culinary, Stewarding, Host, and other colleagues to ensure seamless service.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant, café, hotel, or hospitality experience preferred.
• Luxury hotel or upscale dining experience is an asset.
• Passion for food, beverage, coffee, and creating exceptional guest experiences.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide warm, professional, friendly, and engaging service in accordance with Fairmont standards.
• Create welcoming and memorable guest experiences by anticipating needs and providing attentive, personalized service.
• Demonstrate knowledge of outlet policies, procedures, service standards, and steps of service.
• Maintain knowledge of the menu, beverages, and ingredients to make informed recommendations.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and communicate special requests or allergies to the culinary team.
• Deliver food and beverages promptly while maintaining presentation, temperature, and timing.
• Monitor guest satisfaction and address needs or concerns proactively.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas and service spaces.
• Assist with opening/closing duties, side work, and other duties as assigned.
• Collaborate with Culinary, Stewarding, Host, and other staff to ensure seamless service.
