Fairmont New Orleans is seeking a Server Assistant to support The Café by Chef Emeril with seamless dining room operation and exceptional guest service. You will assist servers, maintain table presentation, and ensure service areas stay clean and well-stocked.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant, hotel, hospitality, or food and beverage experience preferred.
• Strong guest service orientation with a genuine desire to create memorable experiences.
• Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain professional, calm, and solution-oriented in a fast-paced dining environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide warm, professional, engaging, and attentive service while representing Fairmont New Orleans.
• Assist Servers with the efficient and timely delivery of food, beverages, and guest requests.
• Maintain knowledge of menu, beverages, and service standards.
• Set and reset tables according to Fairmont standards and outlet specifications.
• Ensure service areas remain clean, stocked, and presentation-ready throughout service.
• Clear and reset tables promptly while minimizing disruption to guests.
• Assist with pre-bussing, dish clearing, refilling water, and maintaining table presentation.
• Provide guests with napkins, flatware, condiments, water, and other amenities as requested.
• Monitor dining room and anticipate guests and Server needs during service period.
• Assist with running food from kitchen to dining room and deliver dishes correctly.
• Communicate effectively with servers, culinary, stewarding, hosts, and leadership.
