Job summary

The Café by Chef Emeril at Fairmont New Orleans is seeking a Barista to deliver exceptional beverage service and create memorable guest experiences in a luxury setting. You will prepare espresso beverages, teas, and other café offerings, maintain high standards of quality and presentation, operate the POS, and collaborate with Culinary and F&B teams to support daily operations.

Qualifications

• Previous barista, café, restaurant, hotel, or food and beverage experience preferred.
• Luxury hotel or high-volume hospitality environment experience preferred.
• Specialty coffee or barista training is an asset.
• Knowledge of espresso, coffee brewing, tea service, and café operations preferred.
• Strong guest service orientation and ability to create memorable experiences.
• Excellent communication and professional presentation.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional, warm, personalized service representing Fairmont New Orleans.
• Prepare and serve high-quality coffee, espresso beverages, teas, and café offerings.
• Operate espresso machines, grinders, brewers, POS systems safely and efficiently.
• Take and process guest orders accurately via POS; ensure correct preparation.
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the café counter and equipment.
• Assist with opening/closing procedures and coordinate with hotel departments.
• Support VIP arrivals and hotel events as required.
