Job summary

The Allison Inn & Spa, Newberg, OR, seeks a Banquet Manager to lead high-end private events including meetings, receptions, weddings, and galas. You will plan, staff, and execute luxury service standards with culinary, service, and sales teams.

As part of the food & beverage leadership team, you will drive efficiency, elevate guest experiences, and ensure flawless event execution across all banquet operations.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of food and beverage management experience in a hotel/resort setting preferred.
• 2+ years of catering and events service experience, with luxury service standards preferred.
• Strong knowledge of multi-course plated service, bartending, and wine service.
• Ability to work all shifts when necessary, including days, mids, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to obtain both a food handlers card and OLCC permit.
• Strong leadership presence with the ability to inspire excellence.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills in written and verbal communication.
• Experience with a POS system preferred, but not required
• Basic knowledge of labor and industry-specific laws and regulations
• Successfully pass a pre-employment background investigation

Responsibilities

• Oversee the execution of banquet style and catered functions to luxury standards.
• Lead banquet team with recruitment, training, performance feedback, coaching.
• Identify opportunities for department improvement and proactively create solutions.
• Perform in the capacity of any supervised position as needed.
• Coordinate EO details with kitchen and service outlets.
• Ensure EO timelines and details are accurate and ready for programs.
• Supervise staff during events from setup to breakdown.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization; ensure POS accuracy.
• Communicate guest needs to appropriate outlets; coordinate with departments.
• Develop and enforce department policies consistent with standards.
• Follow safety, sanitation, and liquor regulations.
