The Observatory Sun Valley, A Viceroy Resort, Sun Valley, Idaho, seeks an experienced Banquet Manager to lead event operations for weddings, corporate retreats, and multi-day programs. You will supervise banquet staff, ensure flawless service, and maintain alignment with Viceroy luxury standards in a fast-paced resort setting.

Ideal candidates bring 3–5 years of banquet/FOH leadership, strong communication, and a hands-on leadership style.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of banquet, event, or food & beverage leadership experience in a hotel, resort, luxury venue, or upscale hospitality environment preferred.
• Experience managing weddings, retreats, social events, multi-day programs, and large-scale banquet operations preferred.
• Food Handler and alcohol service certifications required or ability to obtain upon hire.

Responsabilités

• Oversee all banquet and event operations including weddings, corporate retreats, social gatherings, resort activations, and multi-day programs.
• Ensure seamless execution of events from setup through service, breakdown, and post-event completion.
• Lead pre-shift meetings, event walkthroughs, and operational communications for service execution.
• Recruit, onboard, train, coach, schedule, and supervise banquet staff.
• Monitor labor costs, scheduling, productivity, and operational efficiencies in line with budget.
