The Observatory Sun Valley, A Viceroy Resort, is seeking a Restaurant General Manager to lead all food & beverage operations for a luxury, pre‑opening resort in Sun Valley, Idaho. You will report to the Director of Food & Beverage and drive guest experiences, financial performance, and team development across multiple outlets.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of progressive food & beverage leadership in luxury hotels, resorts, or upscale restaurants.
• Previous multi-outlet management experience strongly preferred.
• Luxury, Forbes, or elevated hospitality experience preferred.
• Strong operational leadership and hands-on service during peak periods.
• Proven ability to manage labor, financial performance, scheduling, and efficiencies.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of restaurant systems, POS, inventory control.
• Ability to thrive in a pre-opening environment with multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of all food & beverage outlets, ensuring service standards.
• Lead luxury service with personalization and guest satisfaction focus.
• Provide operational presence during service periods and coordinate with culinary leadership.
• Monitor performance, cleanliness, ambiance, and guest satisfaction.
• Recruit, train, coach, and develop team members and leaders.
• Lead daily lineups and ongoing training on service standards.
• Support opening, events, and resort programming.
• Ensure compliance with policies, health and safety regulations.
