Job summary

Saks Fifth Avenue Llc is seeking an Alteration Staff member in Houston, TX, to join the tailoring team and deliver expert alterations along with exceptional customer service.

You will fit and tailor a wide range of garments, leveraging a strong technical background in luxury materials, using standard sewing and specialty equipment, and upholding Saks policies to ensure top-tier client experiences.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ fitting and tailoring experience in high-end merchandise.
• Ability to fit and perform alterations on a wide range of garments.
• Possession of strong technical background in specialty skills such as leather, knits, double face, beading, fine tailoring, buttonholes etc. is desired and a benefit.
• Ability to use all standard sewing, pressing & spotting equipment
• Ability to use specialty machines: Double-blind, Buttonhole, Cover-stitch, Leather
• Knowledge of Alterations industry includes fabrication and styling of luxury merchandise.
• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
