Job summary

Old Cleeve Church of England First School is seeking a Midday Supervisor and Teaching Assistant to join our primary team. The role spans lunchtimes and classroom support, with duties that promote safe, inclusive play and targeted academic assistance under supervision.

This fixed-term, part-time post runs term-time with 5 INSET days, 8:30am–3:30pm, totaling 18.75 hours per week. A dedication to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing is essential.

Qualifications

• Supports lunchtime supervision and classroom learning across a typical primary school day.
• Works under instruction of teaching and senior staff to support curriculum access and inclusion.
• Contributes to a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise pupils during lunchtime in the dining hall and playground.
• Provide targeted support for groups and individuals in the classroom.
• Assist teaching staff to deliver lessons and manage behaviour.
