Job summary

Henley Middle School is seeking a part-time Teaching Assistant: Lunch Monitor for the 2026-27 school year. 2 hours per day, supporting teachers and students in a middle school environment.

The role involves reinforcing instructional plans, managing the classroom, supervising lunch periods, and assisting with non-instructional tasks as directed by the teacher and principal. CPS certification eligibility may be pursued as needed.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Ability to implement instructional plans and follow classroom teacher guidance.
• Willingness to obtain CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Carry out instructional plans as designated by the classroom teacher and support IEPs as appropriate.
• Carry out follow-up and review lessons.
• Maintain a pleasant and orderly classroom environment and assist with materials and bulletin boards.
• Assist in maintaining appropriate classroom behavior and control.
• Provide assistance during lunch and supervise students.
