South Washington County Schools seeks a Temporary Lunchroom/Recess Paraprofessional to supervise students at Royal Oaks Elementary School. The role supports lunch, recess, and related supervision with emphasis on safety, behavior guidance, and positive student relationships.

The position starts as soon as possible and runs through December 22, 2026, with potential summer paraprofessional options. Requires high school diploma; benefits apply.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven teamwork, confidentiality, and communication skills.
• Positive attitude and ability to work with children aged 5–12.
• Ability to supervise large groups up to 130 students.
• Pass paraprofessional fitness for duty tests and lift 10 pounds.
• Reliable attendance and basic computer skills (email, Word).

Responsabilidades

• Supervise large groups during lunch and recess, ensuring safety and order.
• Foster positive relationships with students and staff.
• Escort students to lunchrooms, restrooms, lockers and nurse's office.
• Provide on-site conflict resolution and refer incidents to the principal.
• Assist with on-table cleaning and general cafeteria duties as needed.
• Supervise outdoor recess and manage safe movement to/from areas.
• Encourage appropriate recess activities and monitor play equipment.
• Maintain confidentiality and a respectful, inclusive environment.
