Job summary

South Washington County Schools seeks a Lunchroom/Recess Paraprofessional for Woodbury Elementary School. The role supports large-group supervision during lunch and recess, ensuring emotional and physical safety for students aged 5–12. The position follows the school calendar with daily start times from 10:30 a.m.

to 1:00 p.m. Starting pay is $21.93 per hour, with potential for a $0.50/hour increase upon Highly Qualified status.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Demonstrates teamwork, confidentiality, and strong communication.
• Ability to supervise large groups in a school setting and follow district guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students during lunch and recess with emphasis on safety and order.
• Escort students to lunch, restrooms, and nurse's office as needed.
• Resolve minor conflicts on site and refer incidents to the principal.
• Perform cafeteria duties and maintain a clean lunch area daily.
• Foster a respectful, inclusive atmosphere and support positive behavior.
