Job summary

South Washington County Schools is seeking a Lunchroom/Recess Paraprofessional at Armstrong Elementary School to supervise students during lunch and recess, enforce behavioral guidelines, and support a positive learning environment.

The position requires a high school diploma, teamwork, confidentiality, and strong communication skills; CPR/First Aid certification is required. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and more. Work hours are 2.125 per day, with a start ASAP.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Demonstrates teamwork, confidentiality and communication skills.
• Positive attitude and ability to work with children aged 5–12.
• Ability to supervise large groups up to 130 students.
• Willingness to participate in district training when offered.
• Current certification in first aid and CPR.

Responsibilities

• Supervise large groups during lunch and recess with clear behavioral guidelines.
• Build positive relationships with students and staff.
• Escort students to lunch, restrooms, lockers, and nurse's office as needed.
• Provide on-site conflict resolution and refer incidents to principal.
• Maintain cleanliness and assist with lunchroom duties as required.
• Support safe movement to and from recess and supervise outdoor activities.
• Uphold confidentiality and equity in all interactions.
