Blue Origin is seeking a Thermal Engineer to join the Lunar Permanence team in Seattle, WA. You will apply your thermal expertise to develop groundbreaking hardware for lunar landers and lead designs through build, test, and verification.

The role requires a BS in mechanical or aerospace engineering, 3+ years in thermal engineering, and proficiency with heat transfer, CFD, and Creo. Collaboration across cross-functional teams to deliver safe, reliable spaceflight hardware is essential.

Qualifications

• BS in mechanical or aerospace engineering
• 3+ years of thermal engineering experience
• Strong grasp of heat transfer and fluid system fundamentals
• Familiarity with heat exchangers, cold plates, radiators, and other common spacecraft hardware
• Demonstrated experience designing, sizing, building, and testing hardware
• Understanding of aerospace hardware verification and validation process
• Moderate experience with CAD software; preferably Creo
• Familiarity with CFD methods for component-level analysis
• Experience designing and testing thermal components
• Demonstrated experience working in cross-functional teams to deliver results
