Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Safety Analyst within the Lunar Permanence Mission Operations team to lead safety analyses for lunar spaceflight and ground systems. You will develop FHAs, FMECAs, and related hazard reports, coordinating with engineering, safety, and program teams to implement operational controls and verification across mission operations.

You will work to ensure safety artifacts are traceable and maintain strong links with ground/software teams, with occasional after-hours support

Qualifications

• 6+ years of system safety or systems engineering experience.
• Experience performing safety analyses on safety-critical systems.
• Ability to lead and coordinate safety analysis products across stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead development/maintenance of FHAs, FMECAs, and FTAs for Mission Operations.
• Develop and support Hazard Reports, including operational content.
• Coordinate safety analyses across multiple teams and experts.
• Collaborate with Human Integration to define operational controls.
• Ensure safety controls are implemented into mission operations products and tools.
• Support verification/validation of safety requirements and traceability.
• Occasional after-hours support for mission operations.
