Blue Origin is seeking a System Safety and Reliability Engineer to support the Core Avionics group within the Lunar Permanence program. You will develop system safety artifacts for avionics hardware and work closely with NASA and national partners to ensure safe, reliable spaceflight.

The role emphasizes FHAs, FMECAs, and reliability predictions, with collaboration across engineering teams to maintain traceability and safety integrity throughout the lifecycle.

Formación

• B.S. degree or equivalent relevant experience in engineering or another related technical field.
• 2+ years of strong system safety and mission assurance experience (including FMECAs, FTAs, FHAs).
• 5+ years of proven industry experience in the development of electronic hardware.
• Experience with reliability predictions per MIL-HDBK.

Responsabilidades

• Develop Functional Hazard Assessments (FHA), Failure Modes, Effects and Criticality Analyses (FMECA), and reliability predictions for avionics hardware.
• Support in developing Fault Tree Analyses (FTA), Hazard Sheets, Common Cause Analyses (CCA), Architecture Safety Allocations (ASA), Hazard and Operability Studies (HAZOP).
• Ensure traceability between subsystem and component functions, requirements, and safety artifacts.
• Collaborate with Vehicle Systems Engineers to ensure commonality across safety products.
