Job summary

Blue Origin LLC seeks a Payload Responsible Engineer for the MK1 Lunar Lander, leading end-to-end payload integration from interface definition to delivery on the lunar surface. You will own requirements, ICDs, verification plans, and test campaigns, coordinating with vehicle and payload teams to ensure mission success.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in Systems Engineering on flight hardware, strong communication with customers and stakeholders, and experience with NASA or commercial payload

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in aerospace engineering, systems engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of Systems Engineering experience on flight hardware programs, with ownership of interface requirements and ICDs.
• Knowledge of space systems design, interfaces (mechanical/electrical/thermal/data/RF).
• Experience planning and executing integration testing, including anomaly investigations and resolution.
• Experience with spacecraft payload integration with NASA or commercial customers.

Responsibilities

• Lead integration, test, and verification of the payload with the vehicle.
• Own payload-vehicle requirements and ICDs; create verification plans and evidence.
• Develop and execute test plans; define resources, dependencies, sequencing for tests.
• Coordinate with subsystem teams; manage cross-discipline integration issues.
• Prepare materials for program reviews and customer meetings as payload authority.
