Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a MK1 Hardware/Software Systems Engineer to lead hardware/software integration campaigns for the MK1 Lunar Lander, spanning avionics and subsystems. The role is on-site in Renton, WA, with responsibility for test objectives, plans, and execution within the Vehicle Test Bed (VTB).

You will own integration scope from test objectives to closeout, collaborating with avionics, software, and subsystem teams, and ensuring thorough documentation and root-cause analysis of issues.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, systems engineering, computer science, or related technical degree.
• 4+ years of hardware/software integration and verification experience in complex avionics or embedded systems.
• Experience authoring test plans, test procedures, and verification reports.
• Deep understanding of avionics architectures, software interfaces, and system-level HW/SW interaction.

Responsibilities

• Own hardware/software integration scope — define test objectives, test plans and performance criteria for tests and interfaces.
• Lead integration activities for avionics, propulsion, electrical power system, and other subsystems.
• Plan and execute integration test campaigns in the Vehicle Test Bed (VTB) and SIL environments; manage readiness and execution.
• Author and maintain test plans, procedures, and reports to program standards.
• Coordinate with avionics, software, and subsystem teams to define interfaces and resolve anomalies.
• Track and disposition test discrepancies; drive root cause investigations and corrective actions.
• Maintain configuration control of test artifacts and integration deliverables.
