Job summary

Blue Origin in Washington seeks a Lunar Operations Training Engineer to define, develop, and deliver training solutions for astronauts and flight controllers. You will translate operational requirements into mockups, curricula, and simulations, collaborating across engineering and mission teams to ensure high-fidelity training products.

You will manage training hardware programs from concept to commissioning, oversee V&V, and own documentation and training events, with travel up to 20% as needed.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in engineering or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years in operations, systems engineering, or project management.
• Owns projects from requirements through delivery with test activities.
• Able to work independently with sound technical judgment.
• Excellent organizational and self-management skills.
• U.S. citizen or eligible for status per export controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead project management for training hardware development from concept to commissioning.
• Serve as the primary technical contact between the training team and engineering vendors.
• Translate training objectives into verifiable technical requirements for mockups, courses, and software.
• Collaborate with systems engineering, structures, crew systems, avionics to ensure fidelity.
• Oversee verification and validation of training hardware.
• Own project documentation, plans, interface control documents, test procedures, and manuals.
• Plan and execute spaceflight mission training events using various media.
