Blue Origin is seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer to optimize lunar product production at our state-of-the-art facility in Washington. You will lead time studies, process improvements, and capacity planning to ensure on-time delivery of high-quality components for human spaceflight programs.

The role requires strong communication, project management, and cross-functional collaboration with design, manufacturing, and logistics teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering.
• 8+ years of experience in manufacturing, aerospace or high-tech industries.
• Knowledge of ERP systems, MES, PLM (Windchill) and MRP.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and redesign workflows and production processes to improve efficiency.
• Apply lean manufacturing and Six Sigma to reduce waste and costs.
• Collaborate with design and engineering to ensure manufacturability.
• Perform time and motion studies to optimize labor utilization.
• Update build durations in MES based on time studies.
• Conduct capacity planning and resource allocation to meet deadlines.
• Identify and implement process improvements and best practices.
• Monitor production metrics and address variances or quality issues.
• Develop standard operating procedures and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Maintain program plans and apply solutions to complex problems.
