Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a highly skilled leader to head the Separation & Crew Mechanisms group within the Lunar Mechanisms team. You will manage product-focused teams to develop, build, and test hardware critical to lunar missions, balancing cost, schedule, and risk while guiding career development for engineers.

Qualifications

• Experience leading technical teams and mentoring staff.
• 8+ years in full lifecycle development of aerospace structures and/or mechanisms.
• Experience in requirements definition, design solution definition, implementation, integration, verification and validation, qualification, commissioning, and operation.
• Resource management experience leading multidisciplinary development projects including staffing, budget, and schedule.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a technical field.

Responsibilities

• Define, own, and control the subsystem technical baseline, providing leadership of the highest caliber.
• Define, own, and control the subsystem cost and schedule baseline, driving continuous improvement.
• Manage a team of engineers to specify, design, analyze, manufacture, integrate, test, and deliver hardware and software components.
• Manage external procurements and internal hardware dependencies for subsystem deliveries.
• Manage direct reports' professional development and coach on performance.
• Drive excellence in programmatic and project operations through data-driven management.
