Job summary

Blue Origin, within the Lunar Permanence unit, seeks a Manager of the Separation & Crew Mechanisms to lead product-focused teams that design, build, and test hardware essential to lunar missions. You will own subsystem baselines, budgets, and schedules, and mentor engineers while delivering safe, reliable spaceflight hardware.

This role requires 8+ years in aerospace mechanisms, strong leadership, and experience across requirements, design, verification and test.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in full lifecycle development of aerospace structures and/or mechanisms.
• Experience leading technical teams and cross-functional groups.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• BS in engineering or a related technical field.

Responsibilities

• Define and control subsystem baselines (technical, cost, schedule).
• Lead and coach engineers; drive career development and performance reviews.
• Manage external procurements and internal hardware dependencies.
