Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to lead manufacturing system design and execution within its Operations team on the Space Coast. The role emphasizes DFx (DFM/ DFA/ DFT), quality control, and cost-optimized production across solar arrays, avionics, and structures.

You will collaborate with design, QA, supply chain, and production teams to translate requirements into repeatable processes, develop work instructions, and evaluate new technologies to advance space vehicle

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited university.
• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or process engineering role.
• 3+ years of experience creating English work instructions.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (Green Card) or valid asylum/refugee status.
• Ability to work second shift and be flexible with hours.

Responsibilities

• Support the industrialization of new products such as solar arrays, integration and test, avionics, and structures.
• Translate engineering requirements into robust, repeatable manufacturing processes (DFM/ DFA/ DFT).
• Collaborate with design engineering, quality assurance, supply chain, and production teams to accelerate production.
• Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation (work instructions,流程 diagrams, tool designs, inspection plans).
• Evaluate and implement new manufacturing technologies (composites, precision machining, additive manufacturing).
• Support root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to improve reliability and performance.
