Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join the Operations team on the Space Coast, FL. You will lead the design and implementation of efficient manufacturing systems and optimize supply chain logistics for Production/Operations.

This role collaborates across engineering, QA, and supply chain to improve timelines and reduce costs. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in manufacturing or process engineering, experience with DFM/DFA/DFT, and familiarity with AS9100/ISO 9001 standards.

Qualifications

• BS in engineering from an accredited university.
• 5+ years in manufacturing/industrial/process engineering.
• 3+ years creating English work instructions.
• US citizenship or lawful work status.

Responsibilities

• Support industrialization of new products in solar arrays, integration/test, avionics, and structures.
• Translate requirements into repeatable manufacturing processes.
• Collaborate with design, QA, supply chain, and production teams to accelerate space vehicle builds.
• Develop and maintain manufacturing docs, work instructions, flow diagrams, tools, and inspection plans.
• Evaluate new manufacturing technologies (composites, precision machining, additive manufacturing).
• Support root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for reliability.

Education

Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering (AC credited)

5+ years in manufacturing, industrial, or process engineering

3+ years creating English work instructions
