Job summary

Blue Origin seeks an experienced engineer to design safety-critical mechanical components for pressurized docking mechanisms and to drive the full design cycle from concept through qualification. You will produce detailed drawings, interface control documents, and GD&T compliant documentation for flight hardware.

You will also generate test plans, manage suppliers, and contribute to fast-moving R&D work with a collaborative, agile team in a mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering required.
• 5+ years in aerospace/mechanical design.
• Proficiency with 3D modeling and GD&T per ASME Y14.5.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop safety critical mechanical components and systems for pressurized docking mechanisms.
• Participate in the design cycle from concept to qualification; generate drawings and interface control documents with GD&T per ASME Y14.5.
• Create assembly and test documentation; plan, execute, and analyze subsystem testing; manage suppliers.
