Job summary

Marvin's Thomasville yard is seeking a Part-Time Lumber Yard Associate to provide friendly customer service, handle merchandise, and assist with deliveries. The role includes forklift operation, loading and unloading, and maintaining stock in the yard and warehouse.

Responsibilities include assisting truck drivers, loading materials for delivery, and ensuring safety and security of equipment. Candidates should have forklift certification and be able to lift up to 100 lbs, with high school

Qualifications

• Forklift certification and some delivery experience.
• Experience dealing with the public.
• Basic math, reading, writing, and speaking skills.
• Knowledge of lumber and building materials preferred.
• Ability to lift and load merchandise up to 100 lbs, climb ladders.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and contractors in a friendly manner.
• Operate forklift to merchandise and stock yard and warehouse.
• Assist truck drivers in delivery of merchandise to homes and job sites.
• Load materials into customers’ vehicles based on POS records.
• Maintain yard and warehouse in clean and orderly condition.
• Assist cashiers and other staff at the register when needed.
• Identify product shortages and report to store management.
• Attend safety meetings and follow safety guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
