Job summary

Marvin's Lewisburg Lumber Yard is seeking a Part-Time Yard Associate to provide excellent customer service, handle merchandise, and support loading/unloading for customers and job sites.

Your duties include operating a forklift, stocking the yard and warehouse, assisting drivers, preparing loads for delivery, and keeping the area clean and safe. A forklift certification and basic math, reading, and communication skills are preferred; a high school diploma or equivalent is helpful.

Qualifications

• Friendly customer service and safety-conscious mindset.
• Ability to operate forklift and assist with loading/unloading operations.
• Basic math and reading/writing skills sufficient for transactions and records.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and contractors on entry to yard or warehouse.
• Operate forklift to merchandise and stock yard and warehouse.
• Assist truck drivers in delivering merchandise to homes or job sites.
• Load materials into customers' vehicles or company delivery vehicles, validating type and quantity.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of yard and warehouse areas.
• Identify shortages and report to store management.
• Support cashiers and contractor sales counter as needed.
