Job summary

Parr Lumber Company is seeking a Counter Salesperson at the Raleigh Hills location. You will be the initial face for customers, providing sales assistance, answering questions, and processing basic quotes and orders.

You will also help stock and merchandise, assist with deliveries, and maintain store standards while delivering Legendary Service to professional builders and homeowners alike.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• Must be able to type 30+ WPM.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Class C driver's license preferred.
• English reading/writing required.
• Knowledge of retail sales principles and building materials.
• Ten-key by touch.
• Forklift license OSHA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist OIC with inventory maintenance.
• Load customer vehicles and prepare loads for delivery.
• Handle phone calls and emails for unavailable coworkers.
• Greet customers and provide sales assistance.
• Process basic quotes, estimates, and orders.
• Keep store displays clean and stocked per standards.
• Maintain professional relationships with customers and staff.
