Job summary

Builders FirstSource is seeking an Inside Counter Sales Representative to assist customers and contractors with quotes and product information in person or by phone. You will gather product needs, provide pricing, and act as a liaison between purchasing, design staff, and customers.

You will respond to inquiries about products, pricing, orders, deliveries, and follow-ups, while actively generating sales and maintaining knowledge of construction materials and ERP systems.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 1–2 years in building material industry with product knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Represent the company in sales by collecting product needs and design specs, acting as liaison between purchasing, design, production, and customer.
• Respond to inquiries on product selection, orders, pricing, quotations, deliveries, installations, and follow-ups.
• Initiate calls to generate sales to meet goals.
• Improve sales skills and product knowledge through training and industry learning.
• Generate sales opportunities by researching client needs and competition.
