Job summary

Mike Savoie Volkswagen in the Metro Detroit area is seeking an experienced Automotive Lube Technician to join our growing team. You will perform routine maintenance and inspections according to dealer and factory standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• One year in a service department preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Performing oil changes, tire rotations, and multi-point vehicle inspections in accordance with dealer and factory standards.
• Inspect and refill fluids to the appropriate level
• Ensure tire pressure for proper inflation, clean and lubricate fittings as needed
• Communicate any vehicle concerns to appropriate shop personnel
• Maintain efficiency and accuracy when working on vehicles
• Inspect for and document any worn parts ahead of the vehicle’s breakdown or damage
• Use power tools, machine tools, and common hand tools to perform various tasks
