Job summary

Mike Savoie Volkswagen in Troy, MI is seeking an experienced Automotive Lube Technician to join our service team. This role focuses on routine maintenance and inspections to ensure customer vehicles are safe and reliable.

You will perform oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, and other tasks in a fast-paced shop. A valid driver’s license and a positive attitude are required to help us maintain high quality standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• One year in a service department preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, and multi-point vehicle inspections per dealer and factory standards.
• Inspect and refill fluids to the appropriate level.
• Ensure tire pressure for proper inflation, clean and lubricate fittings as needed.
• Communicate any vehicle concerns to appropriate shop personnel.
• Maintain efficiency and accuracy when working on vehicles.
• Inspect for and document worn parts ahead of the vehicle’s breakdown or damage.
• Use power tools, machine tools, and common hand tools to perform various tasks.
