Job summary

Mike Savoie Volkswagen in the Metro Detroit area is seeking an experienced Automotive Lube Technician to join our service team. You will perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, fluid checks, tire rotations, and inspections following dealer and factory standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• One year in a service department preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance: oil changes, tire rotations, multi-point inspections.
• Inspect and refill fluids to proper levels.
• Ensure proper tire pressure and lubrication of fittings.
• Communicate vehicle concerns to shop personnel.
• Maintain efficiency and accuracy while working on vehicles.
• Document worn parts before failure or damage.

Responsibilities

• Performing vehicle maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, and multi-point vehicle inspections in accordance with dealer and factory standards.
• Inspect and refill fluids to the appropriate level
• Ensure tire pressure for proper inflation, clean and lubricate fittings as needed
• Communicate any vehicle concerns to appropriate shop personnel
• Maintain efficiency and accuracy when working on vehicles
• Inspect for and document any worn parts ahead of the vehicle’s breakdown or damage
• Use power tools, machine tools, and common hand tools to perform various tasks
