Job summary

Linder Turf and Tractor is seeking a dynamic Service Manager to lead the shop's service operations, focusing on efficiency, safety, and customer satisfaction.

You will oversee all service spaces, process work orders and warranty claims daily, train staff, and ensure accurate invoicing and inventory control while maintaining industry standards.

Qualifications

• Experience as a service manager with a strong customer service background.
• Proficient in computer use.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Spanish language skills are a plus.
• Able to work well under pressure and stay organized.
• Strong customer service and salesmanship.
• General knowledge of maintenance, repair, parts department functions.
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

Job Description

Responsible for the efficient, profitable, and safe operation of the service department.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all services and workspaces in shop
• Process work orders in a timely manner daily
• Submit warranty claims daily
• Delegate and direct service tasks; monitor the progress of all current and pending projects
• Consistently deliver positive customer service experience to customers by offering knowledge, advice, and answering questions and concerns
• Act as a source of information for all service, inventory, and product-knowledge concerns and work process matters
• Manage and update invoices
• Process new orders and track inventory
• Communicate and maintain good relations with manufacturing representatives
• Keep a safe and clean workspace at all times
• Monitor employee work and provide frequent progress reports in order to improve employee satisfaction and efficiency
• Follow and abide by all industry standards, regulations, and laws
• Help train new employees in company procedures, including safety and work processes
• Stay up to date on industry standards and any new innovations, materials, tools and/or processes that can benefit the company
• Monitor workflow & time
• Other tasks as requested by management

Education/Experience/Skill

• A dynamic Service Manager with a proven track record in customer service
• Proficient in use of computers
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Spanish is a plus
• Works well under pressure and manages stressful situations with ease
• Organized, efficient, and results-driven
• Strong customer service and salesmanship skills
