Job summary

Linder Turf & Tractor is seeking a Service Manager to lead the service department, ensuring efficient, profitable, and safe operations. You will supervise shop workflows, process orders, and handle warranty claims, while maintaining strong customer relationships and service quality.

The role requires excellent communication, organizational skills, and the ability to train staff. Knowledge of maintenance and parts functions is a plus, with Spanish language being a bonus.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma required.
• Experience in service management or similar role preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Spanish language skills are a plus.
• Proven ability to provide strong customer service and salesmanship.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all services and workspaces in shop.
• Process work orders in a timely manner daily.
• Submit warranty claims daily.
• Delegate and direct service tasks; monitor progress of projects.
• Deliver positive customer service and address questions/concerns.
• Maintain information flow for service, inventory, and processes.
• Manage and update invoices.
• Process new orders and track inventory.
• Communicate with manufacturing representatives and maintain relations.
• Keep a safe and clean workspace at all times.
• Monitor employee work and provide progress reports.
• Follow industry standards, regulations, and laws.
• Assist in training new employees on procedures and safety.

Job Description

Responsible for the efficient, profitable, and safe operation of the service department.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all services and workspaces in shop
• Process work orders in a timely manner daily
• Submit warranty claims daily
• Delegate and direct service tasks; monitor the progress of all current and pending projects
• Consistently deliver positive customer service experience to customers by offering knowledge, advice, and answering questions and concerns
• Act as a source of information for all service, inventory, and product-knowledge concerns and work process matters
• Manage and update invoices
• Process new orders and track inventory
• Communicate and maintain good relations with manufacturing representatives
• Keep a safe and clean workspace at all times
• Monitor employee work and provide frequent progress reports in order to improve employee satisfaction and efficiency
• Follow and abide by all industry standards, regulations, and laws
• Help train new employees in company procedures, including safety and work processes
• Stay up to date on industry standards and any new innovations, materials, tools and/or processes that can benefit the company
• Monitor workflow & time
• Other tasks as requested by management

Education/Experience/Skill

• A dynamic Service Manager with a proven track record in customer service
• Proficient in use of computers
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Spanish is a plus
• Works well under pressure and manages stressful situations with ease
• Organized, efficient, and results-driven
• Strong customer service and salesmanship skills
