Job summary

Estes Express Lines in Auburn, WA seeks an Operations Manager to lead a large LTL Service Center, overseeing up to 450+ employees across multiple shifts, maintaining safe, efficient freight movement and strong customer relationships. You will hire and coach staff, plan dock operations, monitor KPI’s, schedule routes, and ensure compliance with safety rules.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years supervisory experience preferred.
Knowledge of all aspects of an LTL service center preferred.
Must have strong leadership skills including hiring, coaching, counseling, training, mentoring and termination.

Responsibilities

Lead and direct employees, set goals, monitor performance, provide coaching and development.
Hire, train and manage personnel in accordance with company guidelines.
Oversee Service Center operations; manage dock planning and schedules.
Ensure on-time pickup and delivery of freight; verify freight for billing.
Enforce safety policies and regulatory compliance; conduct safety interviews and training.
Coordinate drivers, assign trucks and routes; manage KPIs and customer satisfaction.
