Job summary

Estes Express Lines in Grand Prairie, TX is seeking an Operations Manager/Assistant Service Center Manager to lead drivers and staff, plan dock operations, and ensure safe, efficient LTL service. You will guide performance, coach and develop teammates, participate in hiring decisions, and drive adherence to the Service Center plan while meeting KPIs.

Strong communication with customers and internal teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Experience in LTL trucking or dock operations preferred.
• Ability to hire, coach, train, mentor and terminate employees.
• Knowledge of local metropolitan area and scheduling concepts.

Responsibilities

• Lead drivers and staff to meet targets and KPIs.
• Manage dock planning and set up schedules for efficient operations.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety rules and regulations.
• Participate in hiring and termination decisions.
• Administer portions of the Service Center business plan.
• Communicate with customers and coordinate delivery timelines.
• Review and adjust driver schedules to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
