Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED completed or equivalent.
• Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Understanding of LTL trucking industry is advantageous.
• Prior management, dispatch and dock experience is required in LTL trucking.
• Strong leadership: hire, coach, counsel, train, mentor, terminate.

Responsibilities

• Lead dock employees; set targets and monitor performance.
• Manage an efficient, safe LTL operation, including dock planning and schedules.
• Enforce safety, policy, and government regulations.
• Involved in hiring and termination processes as needed.
• Administer portions of the Service Center Business plan with the SC Manager.
• Ensure KPI targets are met and reviewed regularly.
• Utilize company tools and processes for daily operations.
• Review and revise schedules to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
• Oversee equipment assignment (trailers/tractors) with other supervisors.
• Communicate with customers by phone, fax, or email.
• Handle dock paperwork timely and accurately by staff.
• Maintain regular attendance; perform other duties as assigned.
• Meet high demands in a fast-paced environment.
