Job summary

Estes Express Lines is seeking a results‑driven dock supervisor to lead the operations team at our service center. You will set targets, monitor performance, coach staff, and ensure a safe, efficient LTL operation with strong adherence to policies and regulatory requirements.

You will oversee scheduling, paperwork, and communications with customers, while driving KPI achievement and cost‑effective processes.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Thorough understanding of the LTL trucking industry, including basic paperwork flow preferred.
Prior management, dispatch and dock experience required, preferably in LTL trucking industry.
Knowledge of local metropolitan area.
Strong leadership including ability to hire, coach, counsel, train, mentor and terminate employees.
Excellent verbal, written and listening communication skills.
Must be willing to work 50 hours/week average.
Must be authorized to work in the United States; pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

Lead, guide and direct dock employees; set targets and monitor performance.
Manage an efficient, safe LTL operation including dock planning and scheduling.
Enforce company policies and safety regulations.
Participate in hiring and termination processes.
Administer portions of the Service Center Business plan.
Meet KPI targets and optimize scheduling to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
Oversee equipment movement and communicate with customers.
Ensure paperwork is accurate and timely.
Attend and perform additional duties as needed.
