Job summary

Estes-Express-Lines is seeking a Dock Operations Supervisor to lead and direct dock staff, ensuring an efficient LTL operation with proper scheduling and KPI attainment. You will coach employees, enforce safety and policy adherence, and participate in hiring decisions to maintain a high-performance team.

The role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and the ability to work 50 hours per week across variable shifts, including nights and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have strong leadership and coaching abilities.
• Experience in management, dispatch, and dock operations.
• Able to hire, coach, train, mentor and terminate staff as needed.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; strong planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct dock employees and set targets; monitor performance and provide coaching.
• Manage dock operations to ensure safe, efficient LTL performance; plan schedules.
• Enforce company policies, safety rules, and regulatory compliance.
• Participate in hiring and termination decisions; administer the service center plan.
• Achieve KPIs; manage communication with customers via phone, fax, or email.
• Oversee paperwork for dock to ensure timely and correct processing.
• Work 50 hours/week on any shift; handle variable duties as needed.
