Job summary

Genworth is seeking a Long Term Care Actuary to join the Controllership Oversight team in a leadership role. The position focuses on governance of LTC models, data flows, and control design to ensure compliance with industry and actuarial standards. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential.

The role emphasizes valuation, projections, experience analysis, and expanding oversight to new teams and products across the enterprise. Strong communication and leadership are required.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, or related field
• Fellow of Society of Actuaries (FSA) or ASA with relevant experience
• 5+ years actuarial experience, preferably LTC
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage priorities
• Strong oral and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Oversee LTC control environment with cross-team coordination
• Advise on controls for new or enhanced processes
• Review key high-risk process controls and implement improvements
• Collaborate with Operations and IT on data and controls
• Develop clear model/process documentation for transparency
• Provide governance peer review for LTC models and processes
• Expand governance to additional teams and products
• Assist with model change peer reviews and governance guidance
