Job summary

Owen Valley Rehabilitation & Nursing is seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse to provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise nursing assistants in daily activities. You will ensure compliance with standards and maintain high-quality care under the direction of the Director of Nursing.

Responsibilities include directing shift functions, documenting admissions/discharges, administering medications, and coordinating with other departments to meet resident needs.

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse with current unencumbered state license.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• CPR Certification required.
• Long Term Care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing assistants and plan shift services.
• Complete and file required forms for admissions, transfers and discharges; transcribe orders.
• Prepare and administer medications as ordered by the physician.
• Maintain rapport with inter-departmental teams to ensure nursing services meet residents’ needs.
• Take nursing reports during shift change and rounds with physicians as needed.
• Ensure safety and privacy of resident care and confidentiality of information.
