Job summary

Owen Valley Rehabilitation & Nursing is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise day-to-day activities of nursing assistants. The role requires adherence to standards, regulations, and director directives to ensure high-quality resident care.

The LPN will admit, transfer, and discharge residents, chart nursing notes, administer medications, and maintain professional relationships across departments to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse with current unencumbered state license.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Must be able to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
• Knowledge of nursing practices, laws, regulations for nursing care facilities.
• Current CPR Certification is required
• Experience in Long Term Care is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing assistants.
• Admit, transfer and discharge residents as required; provide shift leadership.
• Prepare and administer medications as ordered by the physician.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident care information and ensure privacy.
• Perform rounds with physicians as necessary; document care and reports.
