Job summary

Advocate HealthCare is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse for a full-time role in Charlotte, North Carolina. The position supports the Internal Medicine clinic (Myers Park) and involves patient prep, vital signs, and peri-procedure care, within a 40-hour week.

You’ll administer medications, assist with procedures, and ensure documentation and patient education are thorough, with a focus on safety and quality care in a hospital-affiliated clinic setting.

Qualifications

• LPN license issued by the state where practice occurs.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 45 days.
• Completion of an accredited Practical Nursing program.
• No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and room patients, obtain vital signs, document health information.
• Perform laboratory procedures using aseptic technique.
• Assist physicians with procedures and surgeries.
• Administer medications under orders, including vaccines and insulin.
• Initiate/maintain IV therapy within scope.
• Provide patient education on tasks and self-care.
