Advocate Health in Concord, NC seeks a licensed practical nurse to work with providers in the internal medicine clinic. The role includes patient intake, vitals, and assisting with procedures in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

You will administer vaccinations and medications under supervision, coordinate care with the health team, and participate in quality improvement initiatives. 40 hours weekly, 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., benefits eligible.

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensure
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 45 days if required

Responsabilités

• Prepares and rooms the patient for exam with vital signs and health information
• Performs laboratory procedures using aseptic technique and infection control guidelines
• Assists physician/provider with procedures and surgeries
• Administers medications including immunizations and IV therapy with supervision
• Provides patient education on tasks, treatment and self-care; coordinates referrals as needed
• Communicates with health care team and documents patient conditions
• Performs advanced clinical tasks under supervision (sutures, catheterization, EKG, etc.)
• Maintains exam rooms and equipment, including cleaning and stocking
• Participates in care management and quality improvement activities
• Demonstrates age-specific knowledge for patient care
