Job summary

Regency, A Villa Center in Michigan is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join their team and provide licensed nursing care to residents under physician orders.

You will administer medications, monitor vital signs, document care, and coordinate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality resident care in a long-term care setting. Current LPN license and CPR certification required; 1 year of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Current CPR Certification required.
• Possess a current license to practice in the State as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
• 1 year of experience preferred.
• Long-Term care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides licensed care to residents as ordered by physician and in accordance with facility, federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations.
• Provides and receives nursing reports upon reporting in and ending shift duty hours.
• Maintains clean and sanitary work areas (nurse station, medication cart, medication room).
• Directs and supervises CNAs for assigned unit to ensure care is rendered per standards.
• Provides resident assessments/observations and interventions, reviewing care plans.
• Measures vital signs, administers catheter care, IV therapy as ordered within license.
• Receives and transcribes physician orders to charts/MAR/treatment plans.
• Prepares and administers medications and treatments as ordered.
• Charts nurse notes reflecting care provided and resident response.
• Completes forms on admission/transfer/discharge.
• Ensures safety and addresses potential hazards.
• Reports and makes recommendations for care plan changes to the IDT.
• All other duties as assigned.
