Job summary

Ciena Healthcare in Grand Blanc, MI seeks an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to oversee and coordinate resident care on assigned shifts. You will supervise CNAs/STNAs, plan and direct work to meet resident needs, and ensure continuity of care under the Nursing Director’s guidance.

The role requires 1–2 years in long-term or sub-acute settings, a current LPN license, and CPR certification. A strong commitment to compassionate care is essential.

Qualifications

• Active LPN license in the state of Michigan or applicable state license.
• 1–2 years of nursing experience in long-term or sub-acute care preferred.
• Current CPR certification or CPR certification within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Supervises CNAs/STNAs and other staff providing direct care.
• Plans, assigns, and directs work in alignment with resident needs and staff capabilities.
• Prepares work assignments, adjusting for staffing levels and resident safety.
• Receives staffing-related calls and arranges replacements as needed.
• Transfers employees among units per staffing demands.
• Completes performance evaluations for CNAs/STNAs.
• Adjusts break schedules and resolves staff concerns.
• Use independent judgment in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.

$12,000 Sign-On Bonus for Full-Time / $6,000 Sign-On Bonus for Part-Time

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for providing, overseeing and coordinating the delivery of resident care during assigned shifts in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations and facility policy under the direction and supervision of the Director of Nursing/designee. This role provides clinical supervision to nursing assistants, ensures continuity of care, and serves as a key resource for residents, families, and staff.
