Job summary

Complete Care at Annapolis is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for direct care. PRN accepted for experienced LPNs with at least 1 year in long-term care. The role involves medication administration, wound care, monitoring residents, and collaboration with the care team to support healing and comfort.

Qualifications

• Active Maryland LPN license
• Minimum 1 year of LPN experience in long-term care setting

Responsibilities

• Administer medications (oral, topical, IV, injectable) as prescribed.
• Perform wound care and dressing changes; monitor skin condition.
• Observe, document and report changes in physical and mental health status.
• Assist in care planning and coordinate with physicians, therapists and social workers.
• Educate residents and families about health status, treatment plans and expectations.

Here’s What You’ll Do for Our Residents:

Administer Medications: Give oral, topical, IV, injectable medications

Wound/Skin Care: Perform wound care/prevention, manage pain, apply dressings

Monitoring: Observe physical and mental health status- track changes & analyze data

Clinical Procedure: Provide catheter/ostomy care, gather specimens etc.

Care Planning: Assist in executing individualized care

Collaboration: Strategize care with physicians, therapists, social workers & others

Family & Resident Education: Explain health status, changes and expectations for care

Documentation: Keep a detailed record of health status, all care, progress & interactions

Team Oversight: Oversee & delegate CNA’s ensuring quality care/teamwork
