Job summary

Complete Care at Wheaton is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide direct care to residents at our skilled nursing facility in Wheaton, MD. We offer full- and part-time schedules, daily pay options, and a comprehensive benefits package.

You will administer medications, perform wound care, monitor health status, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality care for residents as they transition from hospital to home or long-term care.

Qualifications

• Maryland LPN license required
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, references and physical evaluation
• Professional and clinically skilled with leadership qualities

Responsibilities

• Administer medications including oral, topical, IV and injectable medications.
• Perform wound care, pain management and dressing changes.
• Monitor residents’ physical and mental health status and analyze data for changes.
• Provide catheter or ostomy care and assist with clinical procedures as needed.
• Assist in executing individualized care plans for each resident.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, social workers and other team members.
• Educate residents and families about health status, care plans and expectations.
• Maintain detailed health records of care, progress and interactions.
• Oversee and delegate CNA activities to ensure quality care and teamwork

Here’s What You’ll Do for Our Residents:

Administer Medications: Give oral, topical, IV, injectable medications

Wound/Skin Care: Perform wound care/prevention, manage pain, apply dressings

Monitoring: Observe physical and mental health status- track changes & analyze data

Clinical Procedure: Provide catheter/ostomy care, gather specimens etc.

Care Planning: Assist in executing the individualized care

Collaboration: Strategize care with physicians, therapists, social workers & others

Family & Resident Education: Explain health status, changes and expectations for care

Documentation: Keep a detailed record of health status, all care, progress & interactions

Team Oversight: Oversee & delegate CNA’s ensuring quality care/teamwork
