Job summary

Advocate Health in Charlotte, NC seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse for the Rocky River Internal Medicine department. This full-time role (40 hours/week) involves 4x10 hour shifts, patient prep, vital signs, injections, and assisting providers.

You will perform lab procedures, IV therapy within scope, patient education, and coordinate care with nurses and physicians. Requires LPN license and BLS; no experience required.

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license required
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification within 45 days
• Completion of an accredited Practical Nursing program
• No experience required

Responsibilities

• Prepare and room patients for exams; record vital signs and health information.
• Perform laboratory procedures using aseptic technique.
• Assist with physician procedures and surgeries.
• Administer medications under orders including immunizations.
• Initiate and manage IV therapy within scope.
• Provide patient education on tasks and self-care.
• Coordinate referrals and follow-ups; communicate with care team.
• Perform advanced clinical tasks under supervision (suturing, EKG, etc.).
• Maintain exam rooms and manage supplies.
