Job summary

Villa Healthcare is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in Michigan. The LPN will assume responsibility for a group of residents per shift, providing licensed nursing care, documenting care, and ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.

Responsibilities include administering medications, performing assessments, and coordinating with the IDT for care plan updates. The role requires CPR certification, an active LPN license in the state, and a willingness to work a flexible

Qualifications

• Current CPR Certification required.
• Possess a current license to practice in the State as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
• Long-Term care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides licensed care to assigned residents as ordered by physician and in accordance with facility, federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations.
• Provides and receives nursing reports upon reporting in and ending shift duty hours.
• Maintains clean and sanitary work areas including nurse station and medication rooms.
• Directs and supervises the day-to-day certified nursing assistant services for the unit to ensure proper care.
• Performs resident assessments/observations and reviews care plans for appropriate care.
• Takes and records vital signs, administers catheter care, IV therapy within license limits, and provides respiratory care.
• Receives and transcribes physician orders to charts and MAR.
• Prepares and administers medications and treatments as ordered.
• Documents nurse notes reflecting care and resident responses.
• Completes admission/transfer/discharge forms.
• Ensures a safe resident environment, addressing hazards as needed.
• Makes reports/recommendations on shift activities.
• Ensures care plans are implemented and updated; suggests changes as needed.
• All other duties as assigned.
