Job summary

Health Advocates Network, Inc. seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide direct patient care in Raleigh, NC. You will administer medications, monitor vitals, and document care in the EMR under supervision in a correctional healthcare setting.

Shifts are 12-hour nights on a 36/48 schedule with travel stipends available. Qualifications include NC LPN license, PSV verification, and current certifications. Competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Current, valid NC Licensed Practical Nurse license in good standing.
• Minimum of 1+ year of LPN experience within the last 3 years.
• Primary Source Verification (PSV) from licensing board or agency, if required.
• Copy of required certifications and compliance documents (BLS, N95 fit test, immunizations, TB test).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under supervision of a Registered Nurse or physician.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor and record vital signs and report changes.
• Assist with patient assessments and care plans.
• Perform wound care and specimen collection as needed.
• Document patient care accurately in EMR.
• Educate patients and families on health maintenance and plans.
• Assist with admissions, discharges, transfers.
• Maintain a safe, clean, therapeutic environment.
• Follow facility policies and infection control protocols.

Travel Pay

Travel Rate (based on 36 hours): Hourly $18.03, Stipend (Lodging $693.00 + M&I $329.00) = $1,022.00

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or physician.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor and record patients' vital signs and report changes in condition.
• Assist with patient assessments and implement individualized care plans.
• Perform wound care, specimen collection, and other basic nursing procedures.
• Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Educate patients and families on health maintenance and treatment plans.
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment for patients.
• Follow facility policies, infection control protocols, and regulatory standards.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current, valid, and unrestrictedNC license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.
• Minimum of 1+ year of recent experience as aLPN within the last 3 years.
• Copy of current, completedPrimary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.
• Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., .BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test,).
